 TELUGU   DEPARTMENT   HISTORY

               Telugu is a major Providian Language. It is the fifteenth largest Language in the world. It's inscriptional History starts from 575 A.D. Telugu is unique in its literary tradition and cultural heritage the Department of Telugu Language and Translation  studies focus upon the study of Telugu  Language and Literature in relation to other languages and modern applications of language studies.

 

                  Sir C.R.Reddy college for women is established in this year 1987 at Eluru, west Godavari district. The Department of Telugu was started since the inception of the college. Sri G.Leelavathi was appointed as a Lecturer and HOD at the time of  Inception of the college.2016-2018 M. Jaya prada Devi ,and B. Eswari as a HOD since 2018.

                  This  is a Regional language and has it's own significance as it is our mother Tongue. It has  Rich and glorious literature. Telugu is one of the Dravidian languages which was Kailed as 'Desha Bhasha landhu Telugu Lessa" by sri  krishnadevaraya.  It has been praised as the Italian of the East', It is the official language of Andhra pradesh and Telangana states the Depertment has 4 experienced faculty.
